Mobile Police Surgery Visit

The Safer Neighbourhood policing team Mobile Police Station will visit Quarndon on Monday 20th November from 1300 to 1330. It will be parked in Church Road near Curzon School. Residents can call in and speak to officers about any concerns.

Emergency Temporary Closure of Footpath number 2, Church Road

From 8th November 2017 to 28th November 2017, part of public footpath 2 off Church Road will be closed at the footbridge for public safety reasons until the damaged footbridge is repaired.

No alternative route has been designated, but access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.. Read More »

Derbyshire County Council has launched a new set of bus and volunteer car services called Derbyshire Connect, starting on Monday 2nd October.

Burley Lane closure 30 Oct - 3 Nov - Burley Lane will be closed while source of water leak is investigated.

New Climbing Frame in Barn Close Play Area

There is a new piece of equipment in the Barn Close playing field - an attractive new climbing frame. Purchased with the assistance of a grant from Derbyshire County Council the climbing frame provides lots of fun for youngsters in the village.

It enhances the goals, swings and other apparatus already enjoyed by all ages in the spacious field.
