Quarndon Neighbourhood Plan is being reviewed by examiner

Many thanks to residents for their responses to the consultation. Mr Andrew Matheson, the examiner selected by Amber Valley Borough Council, is now reviewing the draft Quarndon Neighbourhood Plan. He has sent some initial comments and some questions. These seem positive.

The Quarndon Neighbourhood Plan was received by Amber Valley Borough Council on Friday 9th November. The six week consultation period finishes on 21st December so please respond before then.

Saturday 10th November - it's Quarndon Fireworks!

A date for village diaries - a free fireworks display for residents and friends at the Cricket Club. Doors open at 6pm; there is hot food and a bar, and the main event - fireworks - is at 7.30pm.

Please come on foot if you can or park your car in the cricket club. Strictly no road parking.

Poppies and Peace at St. Paul's Church

Tea and Cake meets Antiques Roadshow

St Paul's Church invites parishioners for tea and cake on Sunday 14th October 2018 from 3 to 5pm to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice in1918.

Police Safer Neighbourhood Mobile Police Station Visit

The Safer Neighbourhood policing team Mobile Police Station will visit Quarndon on Thursday 13th September from 9.45 to 10.15am. It will be parked in Church Road near Curzon School. Planning permission for 400 houses off Kedleston Rd granted

The Court of Appeal has found in favour of the Planning Inspectorate and allowed the granting of planning permission for 400 houses on the heritage land adjacent to Kedleston Road, Allestree, Derby.

Update 9th Aug - Kedleston Voice are investigating whether to go the Supreme Court in order to challenge the appeal.
