Socially distanced litter pickers

Supplied with high-vis tabards, litter pickers and a good stock of bin bags fifteen residents scoured the village for litter on Saturday 18th June, coming up with an all-too-good haul.

Although litter has become an increasingly noticeable issue since Lockdown, affecting beauty spots nationwide in particular, residents are determined to banish it.

The church guttering was composed of sections of cast iron joined every 5 feet or so which sat directly on the supporting walls of the church. These joints have been leaking on and off for some time now, damaging the stonework internally and causing it to crumble.
