Quarndon Parish Council launches new web site - and new logo

Posted: Wed, 19 Jul 2017 13:25 by Clare Turner

Quarndon Parish Council is proud to announce that www.quarndon-pc.gov.uk is now live. This stylish new site will continue to grow and develop, with information about the many facets of Quarndon village life.

Googling 'Quarndon Parish Council' will lead visitors to the 'official' site, with details of the Parish Council and the services it provides, like planning, footpaths and so on, but this isn't all. There is a 'village' route too – www.quarndon-village.org.uk for community matters.

To celebrate Quarndon's developing web presence there is a new logo depicting the Grade II-listed Chalybeate Well on Church Road. Until a series of earth tremors over a 40-year period from 1863 reduced the Well's waters to a tiny trickle people from all over England flocked to Quarndon to benefit from its iron-rich medicinal waters. Although it is now dry, the Well stands as a tribute to Quarndon's popularity, which continues to the present day.

The Parish Council welcome comments and suggestions about the new website: please contact the Parish Clerk.
