Bunkers Hill and Topograph

When you visit the topograph and the 'viewing' area on Bunkers Hill please keep to the permissive footpaths to the site as shown on the signs at each end of the hill. The owner of the land (Kedleston Estate) has made it clear that they will take action if people continue to use 'unofficial' paths.

Cheerful carol singing with 'Carols on the Doorstep'

A national "Carols on the Doorstep" event is being arranged by the Christian radio station www.premierchristianradio.com for Sunday 20th December at 5.30pm. Participants will be able to sing four well known carols from their doorsteps across the country.

Remembrance Day poppies for residents

As part of Quarndon's perforce muted Remembrance Day 2020 commemorations, a resident is kindly providing poppies to place in gardens.

The sanitised poppies will be provided with stakes to 'plant' them. Donations to the Royal British Legion are optional, but would be most welcome.

Leader needed for 1st Quarndon Brownies

The 1st Quarndon Brownies are looking for volunteer leaders to help run the group, due to the retirement of the current Owls. At present the group is meeting once a half term over Zoom, and this is expected to continue at least until Christmas.

No experience is required as full training and support will be given. This is a great opportunity to have fun and work with young people in the community.
