Quarndon Events

Quarndon Events is a society run by volunteers who organize events for the village. In the past we have organized Fireworks night, Quiz and Chips, Scarecrow and Christmas light trails, and we support Blooming Quarndon and Quarndon Repair Cafe. We expect future events to include the Coronation next year.

We always need new members and welcome new ideas and energy. Please get in touch at isobeljshorrock@gmail.com if you would like to join the team. It's a great way to meet your neighbours and is a lot of fun. Come and share your ideas.

Planned events:

  • Fireworks provisionally booked for Saturday 29th October 2022.

QE initiatives:

  • Repair Café last Saturday of every month 10am – 12 noon at the Village Hall. QE collaborates with Quarndon Community Group to organise and run this increasingly popular café. Come and see if we can fix that old bike you have in the garage or the food mixer that's on the blink. Or just come for coffee and homemade cake and a chat.
  • Blooming Quarndon: QE has worked with Quarndon Community Group and Quarndon Parish Council to facilitate this and to underwrite some of the cost. The village has responded and donations have allowed this to continue this year in a reduced format.

Annual General Meeting 2022

Quarndon Events AGM will be held in the Village Hall on Saturday 29th October at 11.30 and will run concurrently with the latter part of the Repair Cafe (on from 10am). You are welcome to attend both.

The committee is keen to learn your ideas for village events for 2023 and is always keen to hear from enthusiastic people willing to help organise future activities or just help out.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be available and an opportunity to chat.

Photos welcome!
