12 & 13 July 2025 Quarndon Events
Open Gardens 2025

12 gardens were open throughout the village with gorgeous gardens and delicious refreshments
Quarndon Events say:
Despite a heatwave and having to compete with the Wimbledon finals, we were delighted by the numbers who turned up to view the village Open Gardens on the weekend of 12/13th July. We had anticipated about 100 people, but more than double that figure enjoyed the gardens.
There were many positive comments from both visitors and the owners, who had put in a lot of hard work to make their gardens look so welcoming. The lawns may have been parched, but the flowers and mix of garden features (a fairy trail, topiary, ponds, vegetables, displays and seating - with shade!) were much appreciated by visitors.
In some of the gardens, there was also food, drinks and other items for sale, with monies going to the owners' nominated charities. Including donations and profits from ticket sales (plus the food and drinks sold at the Village Hall) over £700 was raised in aid of the Quarndon Pre-School, which also provided fabulous hands-on gardening-related activities for children as well as lunches at the Hall on the Saturday. A fun weekend all round!
